12 Amazing Essential Oil Recipes for Pain Relief

Can you get relief from pain the natural way? Yes, you can! Read on and find out how.

Body aches commonly occur after a long day at work, a hard workout, when you lack sleep or you’re stressed out. You can buy over-the-counter medicine or ask your doctor to prescribe you with a strong pain reliever. Some of these medicines have side effects after taking them for a long time and some don’t give you any relief at all.

These days, many are turning to natural pain-relieving alternatives and using essential oils to help relieve pain is one of them and probably the most popular. Aromatherapy massage is a natural method to soothe body pains and aches. It’s both safe and effective. This type of massage includes the use of essential oils into the massage. Here are 12 amazing essential oil recipes you can use for pain relief:

2 drops Cedarwood

2 drops Lavender

Blend all the essential oils and apply to the painful area.

1-ounce Trauma Oil

Mix all ingredients and apply the blend directly to the temples and at the base of the skull. Menthol, a component of peppermint, can help relax muscles and calm nerves thereby relieving headaches

Essential oils have different effects and can become more potent when mixed together. The essential oils you use in your pain relief blends are important but don’t ever forget to add the carrier oil to your mixtures. Carrier oils are used to dilute the potency of essential oils and lessen the chance of having skin irritation and other possible side effects. The general rule here is for every 15 drops of any essential oil, 6 teaspoons of carrier oil should be added.

If the pain persists even after using these alternative pain-relieving blends, please consult your doctor.
